Regarding my photography, no computer imaging, artificial lights, or unnatural filtrations were used in the process to obtain these images. I belive that natural light is the only way to record natural phenomena. Most of the times it isn't about a particular place, but about how the light paint it. For landscape work i photograph primarly with a 4x5 camera and reducing backs to obtain trasparencies of 56x84mm size.Fine grain film deliver a large amount of informations. Sometimes i shot with a 35mm sistem so i can use a fish-eye lens. The works on Jazz musician is almost entirely shot in 35mm cameras. |

The trasparencies are wet-mounted and scanned at high-resolution on a Heidelberg Tango® drum-scanner. The scanned images need to be cleaned: micro scratches on the film and sometimes dust are removed using clone-stamp in Photoshop®. Fidelity to the original is controlled on a calibrated monitor in an ICC enviroment. The resulting files are printed with a Light-Jet printer, considered to be one of the sharpest printing solution available today | ||||||||
